Summary
The beauty of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, is it's ability to set itself apart from the original Super Mario World, while still being equally as awesome and enjoyable to play as the original. Unique boss battles and interesting level design, coupled with tight intuitive controls leaves Yoshi's Island as one of if not the most enjoyable game ever on the Super Nintendo.

Final Fantasy III
9.3 Retrojar Rating
0 Users (0 votes)
Summary
Final Fantasy III did wonders for the RPG genre outside of Japan during the 16-bit era, and while the Chrono Trigger vs. Final Fantasy III debate still wages on, you can't help but appreciate how epic and enthralling a quest Squaresoft was able to cook up for this sixth release in the series. There might not be quite as much variety in the combat system as that of Chrono Trigger, but it's still a fairly big step up from that of Final Fantasy II, and ultimately an RPG adventure that's everything a good sequel should be and more. If you've somehow never played Final Fantasy III in any of its various forms over the years, you truly owe it to yourself to experience one of the best releases the series has to offer. And if you have played the game before, perhaps it's time to relive the magic all over again on your RetroPie.

Super Mario Kart
9.3 Retrojar Rating
7.8 Users (1 vote)
Summary
Super Mario Kart has certainly made its mark on gaming history, spawning several sequels on successive Nintendo consoles, not to mention many imitators. To play it today is every bit as enjoyable as it ever was. Sure the graphics and sound may have dated, but the core gameplay is still top notch. This is one hell of a fun racing game with enough playability to keep you coming back for more.

Whether you're an RPG fan or not, you really owe it to yourself to give this legendary RPG classic a try. Who would have thought that putting Mario into a traditional rpg setting would end up working quite so well. As good as Super Mario RPG was back when it was first released, the game only seems to have gotten even better over time and is a true testament to what Square and Nintendo were able to accomplish with this absolutely amazing and timeless RPG classic.

Donkey Kong Country
8.8 Retrojar Rating
10 Users (1 vote)
Summary
Over two decades have passed since this game's original release and although some of the shine has dulled it still manages to impress. Although it's not in the same league as the sublime Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country still ranks as one of the better SNES platformers and is a worthy download on your RetroPie. Gotta love Kranky Kong!
